Biography
Thomas Lake, co-founded Dudley & Lake in 2001. He has successfully prosecuted both personal injury and workers’ compensation claims in the Chicagoland area and collar counties. Tom’s most recent successes include a settlement on behalf two families that were victims of a limousine crash. Mr. Lake was able to obtain a combined settlement totaling $12,700,000.00 for the families. Additionally, Mr. Lake successfully prosecuted a personal injury claim on behalf of two families whose loved ones died in a factory explosion. Mr. Lake was able to obtain a combined settlement for these two families in excess of $13,000,000.00. His other success includes a $6,000,000.00 settlement on behalf of a minor girl resulting in a tragic fencing accident. He resolved a claim for $4,700,000.00 on behalf of a brain injured client which resulted from an industrial accident.
Tom is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. Tom has been recognized by his peers in Illinois’ “Super Lawyer” magazine.

Representative Cases
- Thomas Lake and Alex Campos represented two families that suffered injuries and death as a result of a limousine crash. The crash occurred along the I-90 tollway in a construction zone. The limousine company and driver were sued as well as numerous other construction companies, architects and engineers., Mr. Lake and Mr. Campos were able to obtain a personal injury settlement against all of the defendants totaling $12,700,000.00.
- Thomas Lake and Kevin Golden represented the families of two victims of an explosion that occurred in an Illinois factory. The explosion resulted in the deaths of two individuals who left behind families. A claim was brought against a number of responsible parties including construction companies and contractors. Mr. Lake and Mr. Golden were able to obtain a personal injury settlement on behalf of both families exceeding $13,000,000.00.
